Project Summary
The Hill Country mod – internal codename YeehawMC – is a Minecraft Forge mod that adds a new hill country-inspired biome, new ores, new building blocks, new plants and trees, new music, and most importantly, armadillos!
The mod was inspired by the real-life Texas hill country biome found here in our home state. We wanted to bring this biome to life in Minecraft, complete with new types of foliage (like the bluebonnet and prickly pear cacti), the cedar tree (and a new accompanying wood type), new ores (blue topaz, opal, and pyrite), new music tracks (found on music discs), and a new mob – the armadillo!
